Nubia Z5S pricing leaked, Vivo Xplay 3S and Gionee E7 look a better deal!

ZTE’s Nubia brand are rumoured to be launching an updated version of the Nubia Z5 with Snapdragon 800 processor, but leaked pricing doesn’t seem very competitive!

Last year the Nubia Z5 was all over the news for being a possible Oppo Find 5 killer, we quickly found out that wasn’t to be and Nubia fell silent for a few months eventually hitting headlines again with a U.S launch.

While the current Z5 is new to U.S shores, Chinese customs will soon (19th of November) be able to get their hands on the Z5S which has been updated to the latest quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset from Qualcomm.

Gizchina News of the week

Leaked pricing claims the Nubia Z5S will cost 3456 Yuan ($567) for the 32GB model with 2GB RAM and support for TD-LTE and FDD-LTE 4G networks. Compared to what we have seen from Vivo and Gionee though this price sounds way too high!

Both Vivo and Gionee will launch next-gen Snappy 800 phones next month but are rumoured to have 2K displays, 3GB RAM as well as 4G support for similar prices! If you had the choice which phone would you choose!

That’s what I was thinking, but with all the damn delays it likely won’t be in taiwan till february (64gb model at least) and since the phone is so cheap, 3rd party resellers are simply marking up the hell out of it, killing one of the best features of the phone (cheap price). At this point, I’m probably just going to go with the vivo. at least it’s future proof with its 4g modem and I’m quite interested in the high quality audio DAC it’ll use.

    Hello Andi,

Is the support for 4G LTE for Vivo Xplay 3S or Oppo Find 5 above is true.

I wish to buy a large screen Octa core 4G LTE phone (Band 3 and Band 7) phone to be used in Singapore. Max budget US 500$. Can u suggest which one and where to order once the above is launched.

Actually first choice was Xiaomi Mi3. But apart from above. Can u suggest any other model. Have a fren visiting China until 1st Dec and can help me get a new phone. Not sure which one would be launched by that date…. Really confusing….

Any help above is really really helpful..pls

    Thanks!

OPPO Find 5 does not support LTE,and as far as I know the Vivo Xplay 3S and Nubia Z5S will be firsts in China. Xiaomi Mi3 also does not support LTE even though it uses Snapdragon 800. I’m not too trusting that the Gionee will either,I’ll reserve judgement on them.
      So your choices are
      Vivo Xplay 3S
      Nubia Z5S
      Lenovo Vibe Z LTE
