Huawei Confirms Ascend P6S will have an 8-core chipset!

Usually leaks come from those down the ranks of large companies or supply chains, but this latest morsel of news comes directly from Huawei’s President Xu Xin Quan.

With Mediatek launching their 8-core chipset in just a few days and confirmed phones from Zopo, Mlais and GreenOrange all coming this week too, Huawei are feeling the burn and have decided to tell the media about their upcoming plans. Huawei President, Xu Xin Quan confirmed that the new Huawei Ascend P6S will come with an 8-core chipset. Reports claim that Huawei may either launch their own chip, or may even use Mediatek’s MT6592 processor.

The Original Huawei P6 launched earlier this year as an ultra thin, stylish alloy smartphone.
