If you haven’t already heard the news the 8-corephone race is upon us with 4 launches this week, however there is one MT6592phone already announced and priced! The Jiake V8.
Jiake are not a brand that we are familiar with here at GizChina, but a quick look at the phone gives us the impression that this is one of the growing number of Chinese OEM’s looking to cash in on the international market. The Jiake V8 looks a lot like any number of current 6-inch phablets (Mlais, Firefly, GooPhone, OrientPhone) but with an 8-coreMT6592 processor and $250 price tag it has a whole lot more going for it!
Specifications listed here, claim the V8 has 2GB RAM, Android 4.2.2, 16GB memory, 6-inch 720p display, 1.7Ghz MT6592 processor, dual-SIM, SD card memory expansion, NFC and even gesture controls!
In fact it all looks a little TOO good to be true (so make sure you ask plenty of questions and get all the facts if you choose to order one).

In my opinion, this takes a long time! Now although there are many 8-core phones, ,But it is not the “really one”!!!
sooner ??one year or two year?
What do you think?

I’ve bought a Jiake phone (The brand is also named Tinji) with dual-core Processor and 5-3″ screen. It’s a very good phone, I can recommend it.
Thank you for sharing your opinion Luis. Does it have any small issue which is a bit annoying for you or is it perfect for what you are using it?
I have to tell you that this phone came with the original Samsung Android Version (it’s supposed to be a copy of Galaxy Note II with lower specifications), even benchmark apps recognize it as the original Note. An issue i can tell you is that the phone restart sometimes, i google it and it’s a software problem reported in Galaxy phones. An advice i can give you is to be careful with the screen (forget that you have Gorilla Glass properties), i let my little nephew playing with my phone and there’s a little zone where i have to press harder to be detected by tactil sensor.
Thank you for more explanation. I doubt, that Jiake’s software has anything to do with Samsung’s original ROM, because the SoC is completely different. The only thing I am afraid to choose a smaller chinese brand is the lack of software updates (even bug fixes). But as you wrote they also may damage easier, than other brands. (However in the past I owned a $550 Nokia, whose build quality was far worse than a $100 chinese phone nowadays)
Well, Samsung Touchwiz (that i refered as Android Version for Samsung) is just an interface used in its phones, actually Android and Linux are running on the SoC, so it is possible to use Touchwiz in other smartphones.
Talking about software updates, I think that best thing of buying cheap android phones is that you can replace them more easily.
About quality, i could say that these chinese phones are using better components and that’s very important.
I’d buy this phone, but for me it’s too much bigger (I think it’s a copy of Galaxy Mega 6.3 with a 6″ screen). But this is a very awesome phablet, and I’m pretty sure there will be more models coming with this CPU this year and also with the new quad-core Mediatek CPUs, and by the way, Mali GPUs are awesome.
yeah,its really a good phone !
