One of the fastest growing smartphone markets, India, is finally beginning to get its due share of Chinese technology! Chinese maker OPPO has hinted at operations that might start in the country soon.
Chinese technology has found a lot of takers in India. However, it is usually restricted to re-branded Chinese handsets at the moment; however, with companies like Gionee (been successfully operating in the country since the past few months) and now OPPO looking to make foray into the market, things look promising.
We’re in the process of setting up a local branch in India to provide our Ofans with support in OPPO stores and make their brand experience even better. Stay tuned for an official announcement coming soon!

Finally, OPPO fans in the country (me being one) can breathe a sigh of relief and hopefully kiss overseas shipments and huge customs duty bills goodbye! Lets hope it doesn’t take them long before things start taking shape. Better late than never!
