We’ve seen quite a few iPhone clones from China over the years, which fondly (or otherwise) are titled ‘ChiPhone’ by some. After a hiatus of a few years, Chinese manufacturers are back to their roots and are manufacturing clones again, and AUX is one such maker.
The company today announced the i6T which is an iPhone 5S impersonator. However, as you would expect, there are quite a few shortcomings on this device when compared to the original iPhone. The phone comes with a 4.5-inch qHD screen, 1.3GHz dual-core MT6572 processor, 512MB RAM and 4GB storage in true low-cost smartphone spirit. The device measures 8.9mm thick, and houses a 1,400mAh battery and an 8 mega-pixel rear camera.
The phone is available for 999 Yuan ($163) in at least one colour, i.e., Champagne or Gold.
Why do we only see low-cost iphone 5S lookalikes?
I’d like to see a clone that has at least a 1,5ghz quad-core with 2mb ram memory on it (and without a slow iOS skin over it).
2MB RAM?! what a beast of a phone
😉
My thoughts exactly. One of these knock-off manufacturers need to actually produce a model that matches or beats Apple’s hardware and is more in line with what you would expect from a middle to upper range Android phone. iOS skin should be optional.
Note 3 is the high end cloned phone buddy. All the clone makers moved to Samsung….
