After launching the fantastic, camera centric Gionee Elfie E7 last week Gionee have also quietly rolled out the entry-level Gionee Elife E6 Mini in China.
This past 12 months has seen an impressive change from Gionee. The company, in the past, had always been known for making quality phones but they lacked style and innovation, their new models though are a striking contrast!
The Elife E6 Mini measures just 130.5 x 64.4 x 8.9mm with a 2.2mm screen bezel making the 4.5-inch phone very comfortable and easy to use, and although just 8.9mm thick the battery is a large 3000mAh unit!
The Gionee Elife E6 Mini also boasts a Yamaha amplifier with support for DTS sound, a 1.5ghz quad-core MT6589T processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB memory, fully laminated 720p display, and 8 mega-pixel rear camera. Like the E7 the OS is their own Amigo ROM based on Android 4.2.
Pricing is very good at just 1398 Yuan ($229) however the current version only supports China Mobile’s TD-SCDMA network.
Watching Gionee grow we are starting to see the brand as a serious rival to premium phone makers Oppo and Vivo!
I think they should have go for Snapdragon chipset………
