The OrientPhone 890T combines style, power and price into one impressively small package. Measuring in at an ultra-thin 6.9mm it contains the newest MT6582quad-core CPU clocked at 1.3Ghz and a 5.0 inch 1280×720 HDscreen for under $177.00.
Like other recent OrientPhones it also utilizes Air Gesture Controls and features a Smartsleep Flip Cover, a steel flap attached with hinges that when flipped over puts the phone into sleep mode while leaving a space open that displays the time and date.
The 890T also features 1GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage which is upgradeable up to 16GB, plus a 8MP rear and 5MP front camera. To put it in international phone terms, those stats put it in the range of the Galaxy SIII only with more features, a lower price and a thinner profile.
Gizchina News of the week
The OrientPhone 890T is running Android 4.2.2 out of the box and is one of several phones that have been recently released while utilizing the MT6582quad-core processor to be priced under $200. The OrientPhone 890T however, is the first to be so thin while doing it. Contrary to the OrientPhone’s claim, there is a slightly thinner quad core phone on the market, the Huawei Ascend P9 comes in at a tiny 6.1mm, but the OrientPhone 890T still manages to be impressively thin at less than half the price.
