Xiaomi battery pack available in colours, including gold!

Xiaomi’s hottest item this month isn’t the Mi3, or their router, but instead an $11 battery pack which we can reveal will come in a range of colours!

Xiaomi’s low-costs and feverish marketing style has taken mundane battery pack and turned it in to one of the hottest talked about items of the month. The 10,400mAh Xiaomi power bank was leaked earlier this week and then announced to dust just 69 Yuan. Since then we have seen hands on photos and now these images showing a full range of bright colours to choose from.

Of course no colour range would be complete in 2013/14 without an iPhone compatible Gold option, a colour option we think Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun will be especially proud of.

3 articles about stupid battery pack, seriously?

price is not special, design is not special, so what’s the point of these articles, how much is Xiaomi paying for this publicity stunt/hype? if you put 移动电源 into Taobao and sort by sales you will find out that actually the best selling power bank in China Romoss has same 10400mAh capacity and surprisingly cost 69.99RMb including free delivery, 2nd best selling Suoyang cost 54RMB including delivery. where are articles about these amazing products?

prepare for Xiaomi keyrings with straps, Xiaomi screen protector, Xiaomi pouch and heavy coverage on these exclusive unique products…

Why so many articles? Perhaps because the news has been doing very well on Reddit….

what has reddit to do with this website? not mentioning that nobody in china use reddit, while this product will be available only in china and internationally only through resellers which are already selling plenty of same power banks

what’s advantage of having xiaomi power bank over power bank of different brand for same price with same specifications? does it offer some better firmware, android 5.0… or is it just another generic power bank with xiaomi sticker?

while I understand interest in xiaomi products when they have good price for value ratio, their recent products (wifi router, power bank) are worthy of no attention, they bring nothing new and no better value than many already available products

“what has reddit to do with this website?” traffic….

Not to mention the battery pack news is the second most popular this week….

What’s your issue really? Xiaomi have launched a nice looking, compact, high capacity power bank, and a capable good performing router, both at highly competitive prices [notice how short you list of comparable devices AT SAME PRICE is…] your here complaining about why gizchina wrote about it? It’s a chinese mobile device blog,Xiaomi make mobile devices. those other manufacturers don’t. they won’t show up here unless their stuff comes with a phone too. If you have beef with Xiaomi keep it to yourself.

Hey I mean I get that is kind of an excessive fuss, But I quite like the pack, it looks nicer than the Romoss (which I have) and is around the same price, makes me quite interested.
