Zopo China have started to hint at the possible launch of a new8-corephone which insiders believe might be a mini version of the Zopo ZP998.
The rumour, still unconfirmed by Zopo, claims that the newphone known in China as ‘Black 2 mini” , will be a shrunken down version of the current 5.5-inch ZP998.
Gizchina News of the week
The ‘Mini’ name is actually a little misleading as the phone will have a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 display. The rest of the hardware including 14 mega-pixel f2.0 rear camera, 2GB RAM, advanced audio, NFC, OTG etc all remain untouched and as you would find them in the current flagship Zopo phone!
We have reached out to Zopomobile.cn for a statement and keeping a close eye on their Facebook page to see if anything get’s announced!
that is just f*cking retarded a mini that’s 5-inches… it should be written in stone that mini’s should be no larger than 4.3-inches
Nothing to see here folks, just a foul mouthed midget with his own opinions on what’s mini and not mini.
Yeah, but even if your hands has the size of a toilet lid..biggest part of mankind has a tendency to smaller hands. And what can I say..nope…5 inch to call mini is a bad joke. Whats next? 6 inch mini?
Absolutely agree dwayn. I was also attracted here by the ‘mini’ in the name.
I’m really tempted by the Xperia Z1S/F (name yet to decided methinks) atm, though I know the Jiayu G2F will be the one I go for, if only for the excellent VFM and actually smaller footprint (though the Sony is waterproof after all).
Both are 4.3″ and both are excellent phones. I only wish more Chinese manufacturers would realise that not everyone wants to carry a widescreen feckin TV in their pockets. 😀
great.. can’t wait for the price details, I hope this will make xiaomi mi3 reduce their prices!
It is pre order now for $319.90, and it is estimated to be launched end of this month.
This I like. 5″!
Personally i dont think flagship screens should be so big unless they can manage to keep the bezels small enough like the LG G2. Zopo should indeed have a 5″ version to the zp998 but they need to put back 850mhz 3g. Its never usually ommited and now me and many others cant buy the zp998 🙁 hence my last device is the C2
