Meizu are no strangers to CES, but this year might be different as the company has revealed they hope to pursue the U.S market!
Meizu have had a hot cold relationship with international markets. A few years ago the company looked ready to set up shop around the globe, but things changed and they decided to concentrate on the local market (with a few stores in Russia too).
2014 will be different though as Meizu will make it’s first step to launching in the U.S by showing it’s latest hardware off at CES. A press release by Meizu reads:
Gizchina News of the week
long-term strategy to pursue the U.S market
and
here’s room in the U.S. Market for another player
There surely is enough room for another player, but are Meizu made of the right stuff? and are U.S customers looking for alternative premium devices, or would they much prefer entry-level phones from rivals Xiaomi?
