Budget phone developer BLU, known for their entry level phones with bargain prices has just lowered the bar even further with two new phones. The higher priced of the two, the Studio 5.0 II is being sold for an already cheap $139 while the Advance 4.0 is breaking the sub $100 barrier, selling for $89. Both phones come unlocked and support Dual-SIM cards.
The pair of phones include the Mediatek MT6572 chip set with a dual-core 1.3GHz Cortex A7 CPU, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of expandable on-board memory, a five megapixel camera and a VGA front-facing camera while running Android 4.2. The two main differences between the two phones are the battery and screen size. The Studio 5.0 II includes a 5-inch 480×854 IPS pixel screen and a 2000mAh battery while the Advance 4.0 has a 4-inch 480×800 screen and a 1600mAh battery.
Gizchina News of the week
While those specs are far from impressive in nearly any market, unlocked phones at cheap prices are a rarity in the U.S. so the BLU phones offer a decent experience at a low price without any long term commitments or expensive data plans. The pair of phones are compatible with most small GSM networks in the U.S. including T-mobile, Solavei and Wind Mobile and support 3G networks.
The previous standard in the U.S. for a cheap, unlockedphone was the Motorola Moto G, which sells for $179 but has significantly better specs. The extra few bucks will get you a quad-core processor and twice the on-board storage, but the BLU phones provide a nice option themselves.
After all, this is a sub-$100 phone running Android 4.2, that alone is noteworthy.

in other words they are selling 2 years old product for nowadays prices, while competition is selling it 30-50% lower, these crap phones with crappy old display and crappy 512MB RAM cost in China from where this reseller orders them somewhere between 50-65USD if you order one piece, not whole bulk like these thieves, so go F yourself BLU, you are done with scamming, if people want cheap phone they can use plenty of other resellers with lower margin than you
Not really, the DG100 with similar specs cost around 80 USD on most resellers, 9 bucks more for faster shipping and US Warranty is not that bad
