8.1mm thick Hosin V708T with MT6582 quad-core processor launched

Among the lesser-talked about manufacturers, Hosin today unveiled the V708T which is another Mediatek powered quad-core phone with a thin profile.

The device measures just 8.1mm, and comes with Mediatek’s MT6582 which operates at 1.3GHz throughout its 4 cores. Other specifications include a 5-inch OGS screen with a qHD resolution of 960 x 540 pixels covered in oleophobic coating, 1GB RAM, 4GB ROM, microSD slot, an f/2.2 8 mega-pixel rear and 2 mega-pixel front camera. The phone gets an 1,800mAh battery which does fall short of expectations, on paper at least.

The device will only have TD-SDCMA support for now, on 3G networks that is. No word on a WCDMA international version as well as pricing, with reports suggesting a ¥1,499 (~$247) price tag.
