Gionee Elife E7 mini launched alongside full-sized Elife E7 in India

Gionee surprised everyone by launching a mini version of their current flagship, Elife E7, alongside the Elife E7 itself in India, at an event held at the Buddh International Circuit earlier today.

Snapdragon 800 powered Elife E7 priced ₹29,999

As expected, Gionee unveiled their flagship Elife E7 in India a few weeks after the initial launch in China. Taking a quick look over the Elife E7’s specs sheet, you find mentions of a Snapdragon 800 processor (2.2GHz/2.5GHz variants), 2GB/3GB RAM, 16MP main camera, 8MP front-facing camera, a 2,500mAh battery all beneath a 5.5-inch full HD screen. The Elife E7 will set folks in India back by ₹26,999(~$437, 2GB RAM)/₹29,999 (~$486, 3GB RAM), which is not at all bad and pretty much what we’d expected.

In a surprise move, Gionee launched the Elife E7 mini (which did show up briefly a few weeks back) which is reminiscent of the OPPO N1 thanks to the 13 mega-pixel swivel camera it has on top. Specifications of the Elife E7 mini include a 4.7-inch 720p screen, Mediatek’s much talked-about 8 core 1.7GHz MT6592 processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB ROM, and a 2,100mAh battery. The Elife E7 mini gets a super lucrative ₹18,999 (~$308) price tag in India.

Some camera samples of E7. Looks good. better than S4 but not as good as lumia’s pureview camera. However from price perspective it’s a good deal

Whether this Elife E7 phone is 4G LTE compatible for India and the whether the camera is really the megapixel as said? I would have bought it then. Can anyone throw any light? Had it contained a bigger Battery with 4G LTE, this phone at that price would have been asked by many.

There is an LTE version of the E7, but I’m not sure if it’ll be available in India. And yes, the sensor is 16MP.
