Gionee surprised the tech world and most importantly their Indian customers this week by launching the Gionee Elife E7 Mini with rotating camera! Here are the full specifications.
Gionee were already set for launching the flagship Elife E7, but the launch of the Elife E7 Mini was a great surprise, even more so as the phone boasts a similar rotating camera set up as the Oppo R1 and has competitive pricing.
Gionee Elfie E7 Mini specifications
To keep costs down to a reasonable level Gionee have opted to build the Elife E7 Mini around a 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 display with 1GB RAM and 16GB memory, but what that has allowed is for the Gionee engineers to use the latest 1.7Ghz 8-core Mediatek MT6592 processor which offers dual-SIM support and SD card memory expansion!
While the E7 Mini is an elegant 8-core phone, it is likely the rotating camera which is going to get most of the attention. Like the Oppo N1, the Gionee Elife E7 Mini has a single 13 mega-pixel camea located at the top which can swivel from the front to the rear. Full details of the range of movement and the lens/aperture details haven’t been announced yet, but after seeing what the flagship E7 is capable of we have high hopes for it’s little brother.
[komper pid=145 compareform=no]The Elife E7 Mini is priced at just INR 18,000 ($307) in India with pricing in China expected to be around 1800 Yuan making it an affordable Oppo N1 alternative!.
4.7 inch, octacore, this would be awesome if it had 2GB of RAM!
Exactly. I was expecting 2GB of RAM. I am having issues with the 1GB RAM on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3. My next smartphone/Tablet is either 2GB/3GB. Nothing less.
It’s an odd choice no idea why they have done this…
I agree 2Gb ram 32Gb rom and slot Micro Sd and better baterry 3500 or 4000mah like Lenovo P770 or P780
All octocore seem to have approx 2000mah so far. I am hoping this is because more efficient processor means 2000mah on MTK6592 will last as long as 3000mah on mtk6589. Testing will tell but if possible, smaller battery means smaller and lighter phones which is good!
Don’t you think it’s little off the edge to drop this one as budget oppo N1? Why? Well, yes there indeed is a swivel camera. But that’s it.
You get 4.7″ 720p instead of 5.9″ 1080p.
Mediatek instead of Qualcomm
1GB Ram instead of 2GB
…
Sorry Andi, I honestly often have to agree with what you have to offer, but this time it’s just too far away from the truth. Anybody with me? I’m not trying to be hating. Just my two cents 😉
does it have sd card expansion?
