Oppo have launched the Mid-range Oppo R1 in China at $411 with mid-range hardware built-around a premium body and high spec camera.
Oppo are taking a new approach for their mid-range phones by building them with high-quality materials, and quality main cameras making a phone which looks more premium than it’s specification might suggest.
The R1 measures in at just 7.1mm and features Gorilla Glass on the front and rear of the body. On the inside is a quad-core Mediatek processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB memory and 2410mAh battery.
Expect for the thinness and overall dimensions of 127.7 x 70.4 x 7.1mm other selling points are the lightweight (140g) and the rear camera which is an 8 mega-pixel Sony sensor with f2.0 aperture.
The R1 is a fetching phone and does run Oppo’s ColorOS, however at $411 it is extremely pricey when compared to similar phones from China with equal or better hardware.
Think it’s too pricey to be considered! Oppo is beginning to think and act like Apple!
Not good for their long term business strategy in this highly competitive market!
it’s like building pentium 4 processor desktop pc with diamond encrusted casing and gold plated aluminium alloy chasis.
