After showing many manufacturers how its done, JiaYu are allegedly set to unveil the all new, uber low-cost JiaYu F1 in the coming weeks!
According to reports, the Chinese manufacturer will be giving a go-ahead to their first smartphone from the F series, the JiaYu F1. Purported specifications of this upcoming device include a dual core processor (MT6572) clocked 1.3GHz, 512MB of RAM (you can already imagine how much it’s going to cost!), 4GB ROM, and a 1.3 mega-pixel/5 mega-pixel camera duo, all underneath a 4-inch screen with a 960 x 540p (qHD) resolution.
Gizchina News of the week
No word on pricing yet, but rumours are rife that the phone will cost as low as ¥299 ($50) in China. This is quite digestible after the company launched the JiaYu G2F for the equivalent of about $80 in the country.

Just what we need in India..at price point of even $ 60..it would be a steal compared to 3.5inch Android Phones with 256 mb Ram being fed to Indians as entry level Android phones by so called Indian “manufacturers–err brown box packers..only two things on wish list for this considering Indian conditions..a $ 1 LED light and a 1800 mAh battery ( perhaps another additional $1.5..taking into consideration the poor Indian 2G/3G battery eating networks.
My goodness JiaYu,this would be THE budget phone. 1700mAh and it’ll destroy any Asha device.
The g2f was launched after all?
Is there any international release date available?
No international launch as the first model is China Mobile compatible only, but JiaYu do say a WCDMA version is on the works
thanks mate!
The G2F will surely blow away competition!
1gb is the minimum for android devices. Android is way too power hungry for 512mb. $50 may seem cheap, but it may well be a 50 dollar worth paperweight, I still think that g2f is the cheapest *android* phone. Everything less is a feature phone that happens to run android…
i agree… all androids in 2014 should have 1gb minimum of ram
You’re forgetting KitKat – 512mb is fine now (assuming KK is installed)

Seems like this is not phone for you. For millions of people $50 phone means having android phone with tons of apps and possibilities, instead of dumb GSM only phone. As I child, I had ZX Spectrum 48K, and those 48 kilobytes was plenty to teach me programming, and entertain me. If someone tald me that one day there will be full blown Linux computer with dual core CPU and 512 MB RAM for $50, I would think either he/she is crazy, or we are heading to marxist communist paradise, where anything is available for (almost) free.
G2f has display(Screen) problems making it almost unusable. chinese Jiayu board is full of posts regarding this problem. It seems chinese cheap displays have still a long way to go.
what kind of display problems?
… ghost touches and shaking screens like with g2s??
The first batch of customers are saying the screen is yellowish and grainy with flickering problems
4 INCHES!!! Its a win!
If only Jiayu would launch this with stock android 4.4 🙁
