Amoi, like Gionee, were once seen as a rather bland Chinese phone maker, but recent development such as the announcement of the Amoi A900W hope to change that “stick in the mud” identity.
Gionee have targeted the high and mid-range markets with their Elife E7 E7 Mini, but Amoi are going down the entry-level phone path with the newly announced Amoi A900W (also known as the A900T for TD-SCDMA users).
Gone is the bland black look of previous Amoi phones which is replaced by a hot pink finish along with other colour options. The Amoi A900W measure s in at 152 x 76 x 9.2mm with a 5.5-inch 1280 x 720 display, 1.3Ghz MT6582 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB memory, 2 mega-pixel front camera, 8 mega-pixel back illuminated Sony rear camera and 2500mAh battery.
