Samsung patents that have long been the source of
speculation and wonder for techies seem to be all but confirmed to be either the
Samsung Galaxy S5 or the next
Note device (or both).
We will likely have to wait until February's Mobile World Congress (MWC) to get a glimpse at
Samsung's
Galaxy S5, the
Note Pro was leaked due to a Consumer Electronic Show (CES) ad. While we wait for
Samsung to spill the beans however, two artists have used the information in the
patents to showcase what the
Galaxy S5 and
Note 4 may look like.
Ivo Maric designed a concept for the
Samsung Galaxy S5 that, if we didn't know better, looks like it could have come straight from Samsung's offices in Korea. His render has the
Galaxy S5 sporting a curved
display as it is highly suspected to have based on information found in the
patents.
Meanwhile, Jermain Smit used the same information from the
patents to
design what he believes a possible
Samsung Note 4 will look like. The same curved screen
design is on
display, and the backs of the rendered devices are shown in three colors: black, white and blue.
Just because the
Note Pro was recently outed, that does not mean the
Note 4 isn't still on its way. The
Tab Pro, which was displayed on the same ad, appears to be running a Windows OS. It seems likely that the "Pro" tag on the devices indicates its Windows OS use, and the possible business applications that can be run on it (like Microsoft Office).
Samsung will almost certainly reveal more about the
Tab and
Note Pro at its CES press conference tomorrow. It is far less likely that the
Note 4 and
Galaxy S5 will be talked about, with
Samsung likely holding off on some announcements until the MWC next month.
Neither concept artist seems to have their own website that can be linked to.
