Nvidia has used CES as the launch pad for itâs all new Nvidia Tegra K1 processor, a chipset with a whopping 192 cores!
Gizchina News of the week
The last Nvidia chipset to launch was the quad-core Nvidia Tegra 4, but rather than following Samsung, Mediatek and Allwinner in to the octacore battle ground the company has launched the Tegra K1 with an unbelievable 192 cores in on chipset!
The self proclaimed âSuper Chipâ can run all cores at once and is likely to make itâs way in to Android gaming consoles and in car Android systems rather than tablets and smartphones.

If they put one in a tablet, I don’t mind getting one. I find the Tegra 4 struggling a bit when opening large documents.
All I can say is WOW!
I dont thing i get Tegra again after two machines with Tegra 3….
Seriously?!
Its either 32-bit CPU with 2.3GHz “4-plus-1” A15 cores or 64-bit CPU with 2.5GHz dual-core Denver core.
It has 192 GPU pipes.
Where is the need for sensationalism with “192-core processor”?
It’s not the cpu cores. The 192 cores are GPU cores (CUDA)… The cpu cores are 4+1…
