Seems like the ongoing hooplah around the CES has not affected the entry-level Chinese market, with another low-cost quad core launch.
This time it is the Ouki A5, which is priced ¥529 in China. The phone comes with a quad-core processor, namely the MT6582M from Mediatek. The MT6582M is a slightly knocked-down version of the MT6582, but operates at the same 1.3GHz throughout the 4 cores. Other specifications of the Ouki A5 include a 5-inch 960 x 540p IPS screen, a meagre 512MB RAM, 4GB ROM, 5 mega-pixel front, 8 mega-pixel rear camera and a 1800mAh battery.
Gizchina News of the week
The device is in no way a JiaYu F1 killer, but is still quite affordable at ¥529 or $88. However, like the JiaYu F1, there’s only a TD-SDCMA version announced yet.

512mb ram on an $88 phone isn’t enough.
