Cube Talk 69, 6.95-inch, 2GB, 2.0Ghz octacore and MIUI

Cube’s first octacore smartphone of the year has been announced and its a corker for just $247!

China’s phone market is flooded with octacore phones this year which is pretty impressive considering how long we had to wait for quad-core phones in 2013.

Joining the octacore ranks and taking on the 7-inch CoolPad Halo phone, is the Cube Talk 69, a 6.95-inch FHD phone with 8-core chipset, 2GB RAM and even MIUI!

Gizchina News of the week

Actually compared to the CoolPad Halo, the Cube Talk 69 is a very competitive piece of kit! The chipset is the faster 2Ghz version, there is 16GB RAM as standard rather than 8GB and according to Cube it scores an impressive 31,000 on Antutu (where as the CoolPad Halo hits 27,000).

I owned a Cube tablet (non 3G version) before and find that the antenna reception is quite poor while the other functions of tablet are good.
Any body knows if the same problem happens in the CUBE TALK?

Where and when can it be ordered? Will there be an extra SDcard? Dual Sim means 3G or 4G possible in The Netherlands? What about Bluetooth and NFC?

    • January 11, 2014

      It won’t have 4G sorry

If it comes with atleast 4000 mah battery, it is a good phone

Yesssssss. The only bummer is 16GB not 32GB internal, but if 4G capable and 4000±mAh battery then even better. Keep the 7″ phablets coming 🙂

and MIUI is an asset? hasn’t Oppo (and the upcoming One+) set the bar at CM11, or at least CM10.2?

    • January 11, 2014

No official CM support for Mediatek phones though

      • January 11, 2014

Well, perhaps with CM’s focus on Chinese manufacturers we’ll get MediaTek support now!

No 4G?! Or large extended batteries by 3rd party vendors for China phablets?! If these devices were advanced enough to speak for themselves, like the new movie “Her”. They would probably say “feed me more Ceymour!”

Where did my comment go? Why wasn’t it posted? A Youtube link should not be a restriction in my opinion?! Using a movie trailer as an explanatory tool while expressing my thoughts shouldn’t be a restriction. It is not related to any tech web sites, and therefor again in my opinion should not be deemed a threat to this site. Everyone is aware of YouTube that uses the Internet. I’m not sharing anything new that would take away from this website here. If anything I was trying to be a little bit funny while making a comment on some of the shortcomings with this device like the lack of 4G and small battery. Or on better terms, no extended batteries available on the market for these devices.
