Just ahead of CESMeizu announced that it would be entering the US, during the show it was discovered that the company have partnered with online reseller Lightinthebox as their first stage of international availability!
Meizu have big plans for 2014, the biggest being that they will enter the US in Q3 of this year. But if you can’t wait for then and want your Meizu fix now you can!
Gizchina News of the week
During CESMeizu Vice President Li Nan told reporters that the phone maker had partnered with Lightinthebox.com as an online business partner. LITB will take care of after-sales and distribution of Meizu products and have already started to offer the MeizuMX3 at a low price of just $429.99!
Li Nan also told reporters that Amazon.com may also be an official seller of Meizu products and their may even be a tie up with a South American company!
Even though the MeizuMX3 was launched last year, it is still one of the best looking phones on the market even compared to the newer Xiaomi Mi3 and Gionee Elife E7 phones.

Thats excellent news, and seeing Ubuntu running on an MX3 is totally awesome. All the best to Meizu in the coming year.
Bad form, GizChina. Lightinthebox was selling the MX3 long before the CES announcement. For the moment, it’s just another random product from a China-sourcing website. Look at the product details; they don’t even know exactly what they’re selling. Hopefully they’ll get it right by the time any official cooperation starts.
I wasn’t saying this is the first time they started to sell it, only that they are now an official reseller and will be helping Meizu to launch abroad. Check the sources on the Meizu forums
Fair enough. I checked out the links. Did you also see that Meizu won’t start selling in the US until the third quarter of this year and that will be with a 4G MX3? I think you’re connecting the dots a little too soon. At any rate, anyone buying would be well-advised to confirm they are getting a full warranty from Meizu, not just a Lightinthebox guarantee.
You sure it will come with 4G/LTE?
Will it work in Europe or should I just buy the 3G version now?
You probably don’t need LTE neither… consumes a lot of battery and 3G speeds are still awesome. Why would I need 4-5 MB per second lol… 2.5 is just fine (my own experience of 4G vs. 3G). I think the moment when LTE is needed instead of just a gimmick, than all phones will support LTE, give it two years max.
Sure for normal browsing its okay with 3g, but for me who likes to watch HD youtube alot, and stream some movies and stuff in good quality LTE is more then just a gimmick, but I see what you try to say. And thats why I decided I can live without super fast internet and buy the phone, will place an order soon, and hopefully I can make youtube videos in english, really not much english videos for this phone :/
