Huawei have just received network approval for another low-cost smartphone this time based on the design of the wafer thin HuaweiAscendP6.
The HuaweiAscendG6 has shown up in leaked documents from China’s Ministry of Industry where the phone has received it’s network license. On the surface the AscendG6 appears to be nearly identical to the ultra-thin AscendP6 but there are a few notable differences between the two models.

Firstly the HuaweiAscendG6 will be aimed at more price conscious buyers and will actually ship with a similar specification to the Huawei Honor 3C, including 1GB RAM and quad-core 1.3Ghz MT6582 processor.
The display on the G6 will be a lower resolution 960 x 540 unit and cameras witll be 5 mega-pixel front, 8 mega-pixel rear. The final differences are that G6 will measure slightly thicker at 7.5mm and will cost significantly less than the premium P6 model.
