Xiaomi preparing LTE Xiaomi Mi3, Hongmi M1S and octacore Hongmi 2!

According to sources in China Xiaomi are now preparing 3 new Android smartphones to launch to lucky MiFans in the country.

Sources say that Xiaomi are preparing to launch an updated version of the flagship Xiaomi Mi3, a Xiaomi Hongmi M1s and Hongmi 2! The same sources go on to say that the Xiaomi Mi3S will be a 4G LTE equipped version of the current flagshipphone and will use the latest Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974AC) quad-core processor.

A 4G LTE equipped Xiaomi Mi3S makes plenty of sense as China is now enjoying the 4G revolution and if the company want to launch elsewhere in the world 4G LTE is a must have for any flagshipdevice. Other changes are not expected at this point.

The Beijing based phone maker isn’t just focussing on the high-end phone market though as a replacement for the Hongmi is also rumoured. The Hongmi 1S will be an updated version of the current Hongmi model (same physical design) but will ship with a 1.7Ghz MT6592 octacore chip.

For mid-range consumers an all new Xiaomi Hongmi 2 will also be making an appearance (if the reports are accurate). The Hongmi 2 could feature the same octacore processor but with a larger 5.5-inch 720p display.

Personally I await the launch of a Xiaomi Mi4 with the same physical dimensions as the current Mi3 but with a larger 5.5-inchdisplay.

i hope the new hongmis lowcost will have wcdma 850, the first hongmi was a joke “international wcdma” are you kidding me xiaomi XD , for that reason the chinese brands don’t expand the market cuz the wcdma 850 is used in a lot of contries XD, the same happen with jayu have nice phones but only making phones with wcdma 2100 -_-

First time in a long time I’ve read a reasonable comment about Xiaomi on here:

That is totally true, however I still would not buy it, the M2(S) dimensions are perfect for me, I just hope the Mi3 Mini will be the same form factor with 64GB build in.
Also, I’m curious about any news on official KitKat releases for M2(S), both Miui and Vanilla Android. Any info on the latter Andi?

Previously you say that the hongmi 1S will have a 4cores and now you say it will have 8cores.
Where is the source?

  Definitely like I have said before, Im sure Xiaomi hired in Jiayu’s production team for their phones this year. Total fail for them. Barely had any WCDMA mi3 phones out for sale and already lined up the next gen. Awful, they arent the company I thought they were made out to be by Gizchina early this year.

    They make great products. But with companies like ZTE producing the Nubia z5s at similar specs with the same price…it’s just extremely difficult to stay around and wait for it. I was sure xiaomi was going to be my next phone…but with zte releasing their product line up…i’ve fallen for something else.

I feel Xiaomi is losing its popularity & finding it very hard to maintain its current status for a long time with so much of stiff competition from other companies because of Mediatek’s Octacore processor….
Seriously i feel Xiaomi should do something for this long wait for their products before they lose their loyal customers for some other brands….

  Nail on the head right there, see my post above re Gizchina over hyping them. Meizu, Oppo and others have passed them by this year. Anybody can sell out a phone in 10 seconds when you release them in such small batches that you know will sell out instantly. Its no achievement.

@Andi: you really got to throw some light on what is going on inside the Xiaomi factory in China. We are totally unaware of things happening there.
I mean you bring so many leaks & infos from different companies & their plans but not one good leak why Xiaomi is so much lagging in terms of customers demand supply expectations ?
When other companies like Oppo & Meizu can do it efficiently, why not Xiaomi ?
Being a Mi2S user, i feel ashamed to accept this fact… very bad Xiaomi

Everything is ok. There are peoples that would like a 4″ – 4,3″ – max 4,5″ display.
Producers doesn’t pay enough attention to this.
