There are plenty of cheap 6-inch phones on the market but they all suffer from poor specs and dismal resolution, the $165 Hasee F60 aims to aims to put an end to this!
Hasee have been quietly rolling out their first Android smartphones this year, and are continuing to expand their range to include their first ever 6-inch Android phablet. Like other phones in the Hasee range, the Hasee F60 is priced at less than 1000 Yuan ($165) but pack mouth watering specs!
Gizchina News of the week
Rather than opting for a low-resolution display on their sub 1000 Yuan phablet, Hasee have generously spec’d a 1280 x 720 unit, what’s more there is also a 1.3Ghz MT6582 quad-core processor on board, 2GB RAM, 32GB memory, 5 mega-pixel front camera and 13 mega-pixel rear!
Anyone hoping to import one of these low-cost phablets will be happy to learn that the F60 also boasts dual-SIM support and WDCMA support!

Actually, that’s not too bad considering the price. Hasee is looking more like THE brand to watch in 2014. These phones are amazing values for money.
Is there an option for a larger battery or two to choose from? Probably not, nor is there 4G, come on people…. Do what the customers want at a rock bottom price! Make your money on quantity of course… In the US alone with the added two features above and the same mentioned price, we (U.S. Customers) would buy several million units if not more.
Customers in the UK are not too bothered about 4g (yet) the coverage is not great (big towns/cities only) and the networks are generally charging through the nose for the pleasure (three uk are the exception and they provide 4g lte as free upgrade on their contracts) the other problem faced by EE (orange/tmobile) is that they have turned of a lot of their towers so calls are no sporadic as current LTE modems don’t switch over well whilst in calls.
I have just purchased an Inew V3 (£160) having sold my i9505 S4 for £360 I now have a more than capable phone (camera not quite as good) and £200 in the bank. my reason for doing this was that I did not need LTE so the S4 whilst nice was overkill.
And by the time the 8 core phones with LTE etc start to become the norm and prices drop, LTE coverage here should be a bit better. I will still be able to sell the V3 for a few quid and put it towards my next phone. poor LTE = No rush to upgrade
I’m in Canada, and we have great LTE networks here (in big cities). That being said, before the big three and their subsidiaries start to get their act together and start offering LTE plans for reasonable prices (if you’re lucky enough to get good deals from retention, then that’s good for you), then I would not miss not having LTE too much.
A gig of data for over 45 bucks, 2 GB for over 50, are you kidding me? My current phone does not have LTE, and I used up most of my data in less than three weeks. Rather than having to deal with exorbitant overage rates, I’d usually go without data for several days (let’s say I have two GB, and I would have used 1.98 by the 20th day of the billing cycle). If you are in the United States, and you are lucky enough to be within T-Mobile LTE coverage, then LTE may be practical. But when you only have 1 or 2 GB of data, then the way I’m using my phone right now, I would’ve used up all of them in maybe a week! Some people may be willing to fork out 200 bucks a month for mobile bills, but I’m not.
That being said, commercial TD-LTE has started rolling out in big Chinese cities, and based on several early tests (check mobile zol), the speeds are actually really good right now, comparable to US (though we will have to wait and see how fast/slow it’ll be once there are more and more people using it; we’re talking about a customer base twice the size of US population here).
And Chinese phones with LTE capabilities are coming out, the first one being Vivo Xplay 3S. Andi, if you have the chance, can you also test the Xplay 3S’s LTE 🙂 ?
We all dont live in the US. You should keep that in mind and US customers actually make a small portion of the market for Chinese smartphones. And not everyone gives a damn about 4G networks. If you need 4G and the phone doesnt offer it, why not just go for the S800 phones that offer that instead of trying to constitute a nuisance in here.
Besides, you can never get a 4G smartphone with the aforementioned specs at this great price.
Ask yourself, why do US customer make up such a small portion of the Chinese phone market? The money is there… People may be uneasy about some things? For starters unknown brand names, lack of accessories, questionable build quality, lack of US based warrenty & support. When was the last time you walked through ANY mall in the US and found a kiosk selling a selection of cases to fit even one of the China Phablets mentioned on this site?
My mom, wife, aunt, and me all have Galaxy note 2’s bought from Craigslist a year or so ago for approximately $200 each in like new condition. I have a 9,300mha extended battery from ZeroLemon also and love it. It adds some bulk & weight but who gives a $#it. Being the power user that I am, at least I don’t have to run to the charger once a day. The phones are CDMA versions and flashed to Boost Mobile ‘s $35 per month unlimited everything plan. In the US $35 per month with no contract for unlimited everything isn’t too bad. So you see there’s method to the madness here.
Of course I/we would like to purchase/upgrade to the note 3 BUT at the same time the Phablets posted on this site are interesting at times. I could always switch to MetroPCS, receive my sim card and use one of the phones listed on this site BUT as mentioned earlier, there are drawbacks.
Don’t think I dislike everything being posted on this site? , not true… Though there is a constant love/hate relationship going on in my mind with the tech coming out of China and by now I’m sure your aware of those gripes… I will mention one of my two bad experiences with purchasing China tech though. About a year ago while reading about the No. 1 P7 mini posted on this site, I decided to buy one to resell. What a bunch of liars No.1 turned out to be. Who in they’re right mind would fake a quad core and ram?! I always wonIdered why it ran so sluggish compared to the note 2 lol. I started to research why is was so slow and came across upset postings about the fake quad core lol, not to mention it has the worst battery life I have ever seen. I actually feel bad for the lady I sold it to.
I am hoping in the near future these manufacturers start to address some of those short comings.
Go to the XDA developer & similar websites and see which phones are showing signs of activity, custom ROMS, rooting, and general support. I’m sure you already know what your findings will be… Again though, don’t get me wrong. The car companies Kia & Hyundai produced $#it, throw away cars for the first quarter to half of they’re existence. With time they have gotten much better and I really like what they sell these days and would buy one with no hesitations. I’ve owned two Hyundai cars and one kia van in the past…
So I belive things will get better with time, of course patience is a virtue…
Never say never… Keep in mind we are in the beginning of a new year! There’s plenty of time left for your statement to be proven wrong lol 4G quad/octacore Phablets will be a reality before this year is up, as some say “I feel it in my bones” lol
