Video: iNew V3 Gaming and Benchmark Videos

Continuing on from our iNew V3 unboxing we posted a few days ago, here are a couple more videos this time of the phone in action with some gaming footage and benchmarks.

We have been playing around with the iNew V3 for a few days now and are putting the finally touches to the full review, but so you’re not kept in the dark for too long here are a few videos to keep you going. The first video shows off the iNew V3’s gaming prwess, and the second are a few benchmarks (Antutu, Nenamark, Quadrant).

iNew V3 Gaming Video

Gaming on the iNew V3 is very good for a phone of it’s price. The quad-core processor and 1GB RAM handles games such as Real Drift without an issue, but things can get choppy if the device is asked to handle more intense 3D graphics, which can be seen during the title animation of the game.

iNew V3 Benchmarks

We are generally impressed with the 1.3Ghz Mediatek MT6582 processor which powers the iNew V3 and a number of other great phones. The chipset really does offer great performance for a low-cost which can be seen by these impressive numbers:

Antutu: 17,146
Nenamark: 53.1fps
Quadrant: 5,930

        Just downloaded an its an old 1.01 (this one has OTG fix). Current ROM is 1.03 or 1.04.

Andi , tell us about the camera. the rom says its a 18mp f2.2 sensor, but the factory claims its a 13mp f2.0 sony cmos sensor. .. . so inew lied here too? I’ve already ordered this phone 20 days ago and i’m dying to figure this thing out! there is no good professional review on the specs of this phone!

Andy before you do camera review etc it would be worth checking which version of firmware you are on, v. 1.0.3 was a big improvement over the original but they have just released v 1.0.4 which is supposed to be another step up again in picture quality (I’m waiting for a Cwm version with root etc before I upgrade at the moment). It is good that they are addressing issues with regular updates.

  Will do. Just took it out to get some night photos. Very good flash and surprisng low light photos, this has got to be one of the better MTK phones at the mo!

    Just a quick update there is a new rom on ineedrom.com by smartdigi this is the information they are providing, if what they say is correct it is now based on android 4.3 I am waiting for the download link at the moment (it requires a donation to download)
    The new rom is based in 1.0.9 (22.01.2014) with our custom codes and fixes

        looks like the rom is a scam it is based on v 1.0.1 and all the kernal etc are based dec last year (other users are reporting that otg etc is broken again)

        hmm…. but the otg seemed to be a software related issue, that with the official update from inew . it was fixed, all the models from first batch or others now can have otg function
        nfc seems to be a problem with connection between the nfc antennas on the cover and on the phone. if you pull out the metal part on the phone a little , it seems to work then.

        Yes the otg was software related and was all working , the ROM that claimed to be based on 4.3 was a fake! They were scamming people for donations and when installed it was actually a copy of the v 1.0.1 software that had crud otg etc.
        I am now running burrs v 1.0.4 with a few tweaks to file system.
        I have also notified inew about the scam firmware and asked them to let me know about new releases.

        so sorry to hear that. i hope you didnt donate them much money 😉
        let’s just hope and wait for inew to release a kitkat 4.4 update for the v3.
        it seems like a lot of developers will work on creating custom roms for this phone.
        because inew v3 has become very popular and it has a lot of users all around the world.

This is definitely a great phone and I’m wondering how the iNew company managed to made is so well from a hardware point and from design point. I can’t wait to touch it in my hands :D, strange, Ive ordered it on 25th of December and it’s still not here :/ . From 9th of January the Singpost.com is saying that it’s still travelling :/
