iNew V3 Photo samples

We have really been putting the iNew V3 through its paces during our hands on time, and this affordable phone just keeps bouncing back for more! The V3 has already proven it self to be a great performer and these sample photos taken with the main camera should please anyone hoping to buy one!

According to the iNew V3 specifications the phone comes equipped with a 13 mega-pixel Sony camera with F2.0 aperture. It is possible that we have received an ealier production version though as our phone comes with an F2.2 aperture on the main camera. The 13 mega-pixel main camera is also interpoloted to 18 mega-pixels (basically using software to enhance the images taken with the 13 mega-pixel sensor).

Although the specs are a little off we have still been very impressed with the quality of photos the iNew V3 is capable of capturing! The focus is very good, colours are accurate, low-light photos are better than anything else at this price and the LED flash is extremely good!

The following are photos we have taken with the iNew V3 over the past few days. The images posted in this article have been reduced but you can download the full size, untouched images from the link below. I’ve also tried to mix things up and have taken a few photos during the day, night and some close ups in low-light indoor conditions.

iNew V3 camera quality

When it comes to my buying a smartphone the main camera is what I look at first. If the camera is no good the chances are I won’t keep the phone all that long. If I were to buy the iNew V3 I would not be disapointed! For the $180 there is nothing in the market which can touch the V3 for image quality! In fact the iNew V3 is fast becoming the phone I will recommend to anyone looking for a sub $200 device, it’s even better than the mighty Xiaomi Hongmi!

The most annoying and unacceptable is the lock to the shutter speed to 1/10 using the flash.
You can change ISO but there is no, until now, option to change shutter speed using the original camera apk. That means nothing but blurring.
And also there is a need for auto regulation of flash color temperature. All pictures are blueish.

Andi, if you had to choose between the new octacore smartphones with the best camera, which would you choose?

    • January 24, 2014

i would like to choose Zopo 998, which has many new functions about camera. i have compared it with THL T100S.

If I had to buy one of the currently announced it would be the ZP998, however the iOcean X8 looks pretty damn amazing!

I’ve been reading that there might have been a charging problem whereby the battery never reached its full capacity. Here’s a link:

    http://www.chinaphonearena.com/forum/Thread-ROM-Stock-iNew-V3-v1-0-4

It’d be great if you could shine a bit of light on running time per charge – I think it’s reasonable to expect a working day’s-worth of light use, but some people seem to have struggled to achieve even that. I’m happy to carry a spare battery, but it’s no use if both batteries are flat by lunch-time!

I’ve also seen, I’ll keep an eye on it while charging.

    Hi Andi !

Would you consider the new upcoming Huawei Honor 3C(2gb ram version) as a good or even a winning opponent to a great iNew V3 that you are testing here?

I know the iNew is a better looking one, but I think that Huawei should altogether be a better phone, even by camera comparison…

    What do you think?

    • January 24, 2014

The specs on the Huawei are better in that it actually does have a 2.0 aperture.

I’ve not tried one yet, but It would be exciting to see how it compares.

        Thank you for answering me!

I’ll probably wait for it but iNew is also a great phone, more so after those picture samples that you shoved.

Hopefully, there will be a comparison between those two from you when the Huawei becomes available 😉

How can you say the picture quality is good. I would say the picture quality is very average, f2.0/f2.0 camera can take much better picture than that. I agree with OREn the picture look very washed out. I just wish chinese phone manufacturer produce/ concentrate on the camera picture quality rather than having faster cpu phone. I would rather have 2 core phone with apple’s iphone quality picture rather than 8 core phone with the camera quality above.

    • January 25, 2014

We test a lot of phones here and for $180 the iNew V3 take very good photos for the money. Yes there are better camera phone options but not at this price.
