Micromax Canvas Knight A350 with 2GHz octa-core launched in Russia

In a surprise move, India’s Micromax went ahead and released their firstocta-corephone in Russia ahead of their home country!

The Micromax Canvas Knight as it is known as, comes with a sleek 7.3mm body and all goodies you would expect in a smartphone of this age. This includes an obvious 5-inch full HD screen, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of ROM, a 2350mAh battery and impressive numbers when it comes to imaging — a 16 mega-pixel rear and a 5 mega-pixel front camera comprise the photography department. However, what remains to be the most interesting aspect about this phone is the 2GHz octa-core MT6592 it employs. We haven’t seen a lot of these before, and it is heartening to see non-Chinese companies stay up to pace.

Micromax previously announced foray into the Russian market with 5 smartphones earlier this week. All this goes to show that the company is indeed taking the Russian market quite seriously.

Its a nice looking handset but It still looks like an Iphone 5 and I expect some innovation from a company such as Micromax… its well about time that they start dictate some design lines in an over crowded more of the same design wise market…

It’s very easy for Micromax to stay up to pace because it re-badges existing Chinese OEM phones.
Micromax is a trading company.

    for the moment the phones with mtk6592 working at 2.0ghz are the HTM H100, the 3d69, the UMI x3, the TCL idolx+ and this Micromax A350…
