2014 promises to be the year which really blurs the lines between phone and tablet with Chinese Android phones now being offered at sizes of around 7-inch.
Coolpad were the first to breach the 7-inch barrier with their Halo phablet earlier this month, now Carpad are on the scene with the slightly smaller 6.95-inch Carpad T69 Max.
Gizchina News of the week
The Max appears to look a lot like a slightly smaller iPad Mini and even has the easily recognisable iOS home button on it’s chin. The display itself is an LTPS, OTG panel with a FHD resolution of 1920 x 1080. The math is handled by a Mediatek octacoreprocessor running at 1.7Ghz, plus there is 2GB RAM, 16GB memory and even SD memory expansion.
The rest of the device matches the hardware on similar octacore phones including dual SIM support, USB OTG, Bluetooth, WIFI, GPS and a larger 4200mAh battery. The Carpad T69 Max will go on sale soon fro around $350.
