Mediatek’s amazing growth is expected to continue with analysts predicting a rise of 50% from Q1 alone. This growth is believed to be due to the demand for low
mid-range Android smartphones in developing markets outside of China, and
Chinese phone makers desire to expand in to markets abroad.
Mediatek are current offering
Chinese phone makers steady supply of their
MT6592 octacore processors and
MT6582 quad-core chips. Later this year they will launch updated MT6588
quad-core processor and
LTE equipped MT6595 chipset.
