The Chinese New Year celebrations are upon us here in China, but some are going to have to wait until after the holidays before getting a Huawei Honor 3X shaped gift.
The quad-core Huawei 3C has already sold impressively well in China in both 1GB and 2GB variants, and soon those customers who want the added power of an octacoreprocessor will be able to do so with the arrival of the Huawei 3X.

What is Huawei like at updating their devices? Are they likely to be better than other Chinese brands or just as bad?
The Huawei Honor 2 which launched over a year ago still receives updates. It launched with ICS, then got 4.1 and later 4.2. It has receved new features and optimizations as well.
But the Western/Korean style of updating the Android version just because there is a new version probably isn’t so interesting for Chinese companies (Samsung is hyped for its updates, even if the new version totally breaks the phone and makes it unusable).
MediaTek has promised to release KitKat drivers for MT6592 soon.
The Huawei Ascend P6 also gets a lot of updates, and KitKat is supposedly coming soon.
Thanks to both the replies. If this is the case and it looks like some of these devices might get kitkat then definitely worth a bit of a premium!
