While we’ve been speculating over the next big thing from Samsung (read: Galaxy S5), the Korean giant just made official ‘Black Editions’ of its current flagship and its mini variant.
With the GalaxyS5 launch closer than ever, one would’ve expected Samsung to concentrate better on even arrangements. Instead, the wily manufacturer chose to reveal two new variants of its soon-to-be ex-flagship. The Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy S4 miniBlack Editions come with exactly the same specs as the original versions. For the Galaxy S4, this includes — 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core 1.9GHz Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 13 mega-pixel rear camera and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

The Galaxy S4 mini Black Edition too retains the originalspecs in a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, dual-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon processor, 8 mega-pixel rear shooter, all managed by Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy S4 and S4 miniBlack Editions both sport a “high-quality leather-like textured black back cover and bezel”. The devices are set to go on global sale starting this month.
