HTC M8 could have a 4.5-inch mini sibling, reveals @evleaks

While rumours are rife about the upcoming HTCOne successor (codenamed HTC M8), thanks to notorious leakster @evleaks, it has been learnt that the device might bring a smaller, ‘mini’ variant along.

According the @evleaks, the HTC M8mini will come with a 4.5-inch 1280 x 720p screen, 0.2 inches larger than the HTC One mini, and as much smaller than the full-sized One. Design, as you would’ve expected, is reported to be very consistent with the existing flagship thanks to the acclaim, both critical and commercial, it has managed to garner.

@evleaks also suggests that the phone will come with HTC’s Sense 6.0 atop Android v4.4.2 KitKat, powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 chipset along with a gig of RAM. The surprise comes in the form of a microSD slot that might feature on the M8 mini, to be used when the on-board 16GB exhausts.

Not only microSD expansion, HTC is said to do away with another expected feature, the UltraPixel camera. Taking place will be a 13 mega-pixel unit (BSI, sapphire lens; any guesses?) along with a front 5 mega-pixel shooter. Much like the full sized HTC M8, the M8 mini too is expected to do away with off-screen capacitive buttons which should bring a smile on folks at Mountain View.
