Thunderbird XLphone boasts 5-inch display and Qualcomm processor at $131

Thunderbird aren’t a brand we are familiar with but according to their online store they have been shipping Snapdragon S4 phones for $131 since Christmas here in China.

With so many phone brands in China it is quite common to come across a phone maker we have never seen before. Oddly these smaller phone makers tend to offer phones with Qualcomm chipsets at low prices (like the Guophone we covered here).

Gizchina News of the week

The Thunderbird Xphone is another such device which is on sale in China now for just 798 Yuan and boasts a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 8 mega-pixel main camera, 5-inch 720p display. The design isn’t bad either with a choice of either white/gold or black/gold, 2.98mm bezels and overall dimensions of 143 x 72.7 x 9.1mm.

We haven’t seen an actual photo of the Xlphone but you can see the full specifications on their store page here. It appears only a CDMA/GSM compatible version is on sale at the moment with no details of a WCDMA option.

with taxes and the money international resellers put on top it probably wont be available for less than 150 euros in europe… and for that price tag you already get a motorola moto g in most european countries

the thunderbird xl looks much better, though

This is actually called the Thunderbird 100+ and uses a Snapdragon 200 MSM8625Q processor with an Adreno 203 GPU. This CPU is based on 4xA5 cores which sucks
