Doogee Turbo DG2014 is a possible rival to the iNew V3!

Chinese phone maker Doogee are hoping to take on the very popular iNew V3 with stylish model of their own, the Doogee Turbo DG2014!

The Doogee Turbo DG2014 shares a few of the same features as the popular iNew V3 smartphone, both devices have a 5-inch 1280 x 720 IPS OGS display, both have 1GB RAM and a powerful 1.3Ghz quad-core MT6582 processor and both have a 13 mega-pixel main camea.

The Doogee also gets an attractive slim design, apparently measuring just 5.5mm at its thinnest point and 7.6mm toward the center of the device, plus can be had in a number of colour options.

The only detail which lets the hardware down is the small 1750mAh battery, however at a cost of just $156.99 for customers outside of China, a spare battery could easily be picked up and still keep the cost very affordable.

Nearly bought this last week for my mum (persuaded her to go for a china phone!) but it was out of stock everywhere, so settled for the neken n6 instead. This could trump the Inew v3, can’t wait for a review.

I was between this 2 models also a couple of mounth later, but i prefer the iNew because of the larges battery and the Sony sensoras main camera, and this model have not the NFC function and OTG, and i also think that is not Gorilla Glass protection for the glass screen

Star HD5000 has better battery, buttons with background light and is ~20$ cheaper

what i can say.. nice phone, but they can give me XIAOMI 5200mah for 15USD like a GIFT 😀 battery terrible.. but other parametrs nice..

The Doogee2014 in terms of specs may be a bit similar to the Inew V3 but it lacks the OTG and NFC capability which the Inew V3 has. The Inew V3 also has gorilla glass 2, ultra sensitive touch screen and an increasing fan base thus meaning more developers. Inew have also released 4updates in one month teething out those minor issues which the mobile had, already developers are coming out with roms. I forgot to mention the 13mp sony sensor with an F2.0 aperture. The camera, NFC and OTG capability, gorilla glass 2, ultrasensitive touch screen were enough to persuade me to pay an extra $25 and I think its enough to persuade any logical person to buy the Inew V3. I’ve had it for a month now and its fantastic, I’ve lost count of the amount of compliments its getting.

  All they did was something that should have been done before the phone was released for sale. Some owners are still having problems with the battery discharing rapidly.

    Ever heard the phrase “you get what you pay for”. The Inew V3 specs are enough to attract anybody especially at the price it sells for. Nobody expected Inew to even release an update, the fact that they did shows that they arent like your average chinese company (goophone and the rest). The people that complain about the battery are absolute idiots, their expectations were a bit too high. The battery discharges from 100% to 80% in around 10mins but from 80% to 10% it takes about a day (for me) the last 10% rapidly discharges but that is a known problem in all MTK based phones. The discharge rate is actually normal but the system shows the wrong values in terms of percentage, that is a software issue and does not truly represent the battery life of the phone. You need other apps which show you the time it takes for the battery to discharge. Everybody that complains about battery life needs to experiment with their phone but people are stupid and like to jump to conclusions after using the phone for 10mins. Developers have also started working on roms which address this issue but also prolong the battery life substantially, currently I get about 3hours on screen time with heavy use, I play high end games like GTA sanandreas, Modern combat 4, Nova etc. Devs have been able to extend the on screen time to 8hours! Theres much more I’d like to say especially to those who think this phone is an eyewash and that iocean x7 hd or the others are better but this is not the right place.

Hi could you consider a best of chinese phone design? I think we need to praise good and unique design more than talk about copycats.
