What happens when you take one of the best Chinese smartphones from 2013 and rebuild it with up-to-date hardware? The $130 JiaYu G4C is the answer!
Taking last year’s flagship phone and creating a new mid-rangedevice is something we have seen before with the iOcean X7HD, now JiaYu have performed the same magic while also retaining some of the same flagship hardware!
Gizchina News of the week
The original JiaYu G4 shipped with a 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 display from LG, Corning Gorilla Glass 2, 3 mega-pixel front camera, and 13 mega-pixel rear. Shockingly the new JiaYu G4C get’s the same with the only changes being the use of a quad-core MT6582 processor (which will actually perform better than the older MT6589T), 1GB RAM and 4GB internal memory.
As with the original G4, JiaYu are offering the G4C with either a 2000mAh battery or 3000mAh battery, dual-SIM support and space for a micro SD card. Users will also have the choice to run the stock LEWA ROM or install MIUI from Xiaomi on the phone!
The JiaYu G4 was one of our top phones for 2013, and the JiaYu G4C could easily be the best mid-rangedevice for 2014! What do you think, let us know in the comments below.
Vow, this indeed is progress..perhaps the ‘best value for buck phone of the year’
I believe there are some rumors that the Xiaomi Hongmi 2 will have MTK octacore for the same price of the old one, around 130 USD. Rumored release date is around June.
please add the time articles are posted on to the main page e.g “posted 2hrs ago” that way i know which posts are new.
