Acer just announced two new smartphones, the Acer Liquid E3 and the Liquid E4. The former is a mid-range quad-corer while the latter can be regarded as an entry-level device thanks to the dual-core CPU it employs.
Acer Liquid E3 specifications
As previously mentioned, the Acer Liquid E3 comes with a quad-core processor. Acer haven’t specified anything other than the operating frequency of this CPU which is 1.2GHz. The Liquid E3 will have a 4.7-inch screen with a 720p resolution which makes it a competitor to the very affordable Motorola Moto G.
On the storage front, the Liquid E3 doesn’t really impress with just 4GB on-board. However, Acer make up with a rather interesting imaging department. We’ve previously seen Monkey Kings and the likes do 13 mega-pixel front shooters; the Liquid E3, on the other hand, comes with just a 2 mega-pixel front-facer but with LED flash! The rear shooter too is no mug at 13 mega-pixel with ‘ultra-fast’ focus, according to Acer.

Acer Liquid E4 specifications
The Acer Liquid E4 comes with a 1.3GHz dual-core processor of unspecified make and architecture. The device features a 4-inch TFT screen in true entry-level spirit, with a resolution which is believed to be 800 x 480p. No word on front camera or battery yet, but the device does feature a 5 mega-pixel rear with LED flash.
Both devices will feature a button known as ‘RAPID key’ on the back which can do a multitude of tasks.
Both, the Acer Liquid E4 and Liquid E3 will be showcased at the upcoming MWC. While the Liquid E3 is set to hit shelves in European markets with a €199 price tag, the entry-level Liquid E4 will go for €99.
