Dual sim phones are part of why many of you are checking out the latest device from China. Again to help you narrow down your selection we have put together this list of 10 quad-core MT6582 dual sim phones on sale now.
Mediatek launched their quad-core MT6582 chipset late last year as a powerful, but low-cost processor for mid-range phones. Chinese phone manufacturers were quick to use the new SoC in some great dual sim phones at affordable prices and with great hardware.
Top 10 Quad-core MT6582 Dual SIM Phones on sale now
The criteria for this list of top dual sim phones is simple;
- Must be on sale internationally now.
- Must have dual SIM.
- Must use the quad-core MT6582 processor.
Now without further a do let’s begin!
Doogee Turbo DG2014
The Doogee Turbo DG2014 is one of the top dual SIM phones on sale at the moment. The phone comes in a range of bright colours (yellow, red, blue, black, white), boasts a 6.3mm body, and is on sale for $169.99 (less if you shop around).
Hardware is similar to the popular iNew V3 and includes a 5-inch 1280 x 720 OGS display, 1GB RAM, 8GB memory, dual SIM (GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz WCDMA 850/2100MHz), and micro SD card expansion for up to 32GB cards.
iOcean X7HD
iOcean recycled their flagship X7 and replaced the display with a 720p unit, and the processor with the 1.3Ghz MT6582 chipset thus creating the iOcean X7HD! Anyone familiar with the original iOcean X7 will recognise the HD version which appears simllar to the Oppo Find 5. Reusing last’s years design not only helps keep costs down but also ensures a great number of accessories are available for this dual SIM phone (GSM 850/900/1800/1900mhz, WCDMA 900/2100mhz).
The iOcean X7 HD is priced at $154.99 and is on sale now!
Lenovo A880
Although MT6582 dual SIM phones are usually made for mid range phone shoppers it doesn’t mean you are limited in choice or for that matter display size. The Lenovo A880 for example packs a MT6582M processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB memory and Android 4.2 but has a phablet size 6-inch display.
Dual SIM support covers both GSM and WCDMA frequencies (2G:GSM 900/1800/1900MHz, 3G:WCDMA 900/2100MHz), while an SD card slot means you can easily increase the memory. The Lenovo A880 dual SIM phones is on sale for $169.99.
Elephone P7 Mini
One of the cheapest dual SIM phones on our list, but don’t let that put you off as the Elephone P7 Mini easily holds its own. The $112.99 smartphone packs 1GB RAM, 4GB internal memory, 5-inch display, OTG and 8 mega-pixel main camera. Again GSM and WCDMA is covered on the Elephone (2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz, 3G: WCDMA 850/2100MHz), and if you wanted something a little larger then there is also the Elephone P7 with 5.5-inch display.
UMi X1 Pro
Gizchina News of the week
If you like the slim design of the DooGee and iNew V3, but want a dual SIM phone from a more well known manufacturer then the UMi X1 Pro would be a good choice. Again pricing is keen at only $114.59, and even at this low price the design of the phone is really impressive!
Specification is good too with a 4.7-inch 720p display, 1GB RAM, quad-core processor, 2000mAh battery and of course dual SIM (2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz 3G: WCDMA 900/2100MHz).
Huawei Honor 3C
If you feel like pushing the boat out and spending a little extra on your dual SIM phone then Hauwei’s Honor 3C is one to consider. Priced at $225.99, the Honor 3C is more than $100 more than other phones here, but that extra money gets you a 720p OGS display, 8 mega-pixel F2.0 Sony main camera, 5 mega-pixel Samsung front camera with 88 degree lens, steel chassis, 2300mAh battery and even options for 3rd party ROMS.
There is also a 1GB RAM model of the Huawei Honour 3C, both are dual SIM phones and both have GSM and WCDMA support (2G: GSM 900/1800/1900MHz 3G: WCDMA 900/2100MHz).
Zopo ZP780
Zopo remain a firm favourite with overseas phone buyers. The new Zopo ZP780 is one of the most stylish Zopo phones to date with a sleek design, 5-inch display and 1.3Ghz quad-core processor.
Costing $132.99 the Zopo ZP780 sits right in the middle of the pack of our top 10 dual SIM phones list. The phone supports GSM and WCDMA networks (GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz WCDMA 900/1900/2100MHz).
THL T5S
THL, the company behind the octacore THL T100S, have also launched the entry-level THL T5S. The T5S brings the flexibility of dual SIM phones to those on a budget without sacrificing to much performance. The processor is the same 1.3Ghz SoC, there is 1GB RAM, 4GB memory, and an 8 mega-pixel main camera. Dual SIMs cover popular frequencies (GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz WCDMA 850/2100MHz) and a SD card can easily add 32GB memory to the phone.
The THL T5S costs just $128.99.
Lenovo A850
Another large screen dual SIM phone from Lenovo. The Lenovo A850 is a 5.5-inch phone, packs 1GB RAM, 4GB of memory, 2250mAh battery and costs just $154.99!
iNew V3
The iNew V3 makes it on to our lists again! The phone is quickly becoming a favourite for overseas phone buyers thanks to its attractive design, and great hardware.
The iNew V3 gets dual SIM support, 13 mega-pixel main camera, 5-inch 720p OGS display, NFC and OTG!

what about beidou red pepper (‘himax polymer li’ in Indonesia)? i have one and far from disappointed.
Himax Polymer Li, It’s the best phone that I have…. especially when play a game…. 🙂
review pls?
Great list!
Is the Zopo zp780 really available for $132.99? I get $159.99 from the Zopo Mobile shop. I haven’t seen it cheaper somewhere else.
no, $159.99 is the lowest price as i see
I bought it for $138 from pandawill with happy hour discount.
So I am guessing that 850/2100 is good for North America
900/2100 is good for europe?
Are there any models that will work for both Europe and NA, South America
on 3g?
850/2100Mhz US and 900/2100Mhz Europe is more or less correct.
For Europe, it depends on what country/what network provider you use for 3G. Some countries 2100Mhz is sufficient (i.e. all network providers in the Netherlands support 2100Mhz). Having support for 900Mhz would probably improve overall reception. Again, check per countries and per network provider what frequency band is used for 3G.
I don’t see any phones that support 850 and 900 Mhz for 3G. I don’t think that there are any MTK6852 phones that do… Correct me if I’m wrong.
About 3G network Frequency, in US, it usually supports 900/1900Mhz, in Europe like Spain and Italy, it supports 850/2100mhz, this zopo zp990+ is a good choice for US Customers,it supports WCDMA 900/1900/2100MHz!
If you’re going to use AT&T’s network in a city like NY, 850Mhz support would be nice:
http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/28/atandt-says-new-york-850mhz-3g-upgrade-is-complete-voice-quality/
Again, checkout the frequency band support for the particular carrier in the particular region/country and then decide which frequencies are a must have and which are a nice to have.
In the US you need to have 850 instead of 900MHz and for using T-Mobile support for the AWS band 4 (1700+2100MHz -one is the uplink, the other the downlink).
Unless these phones do support 5-band UMTS/HSPA/WCDMA, just the way they support 4-band GSM, they aren’t international, worldwide useable phones. Period!
No phone support all bands in all countries for all operators.
No dual-SIM-phones are pentaband WCDMA as far as I know either.
Actually I may have been wrong, it seems Lenovo K910 Vibe Z is penta-band WCDMA and dual-SIM. However specifications confirming this is not on lenovos web page (it just says GSM+WCDMA).
From many years of study of chinese products and brand, I have seen that the pictures what the chinese brands/companies use to highlight the products look very attractive but in most of the cases, the real product is not as good as the picture. Andy as you are in China, you can tell what these companies do to show picture of the product so attractive. Awaiting your reply..
iNew v3 is very popular and amazing, which is as good as the picture as i think.
Which of all these phones has the best battery life?? Andy never respond to this question!! Battery life is much more important than good specs in most of the times!!
In my idea ,the battery of those are all good .doogee 2014 and iocean x7 hd ,huawei 3c .
huawei 3c:
1 x 2300mAh Battery
iocean x7 hd ,
1 x 2000mAh Battery
doogee 2014
1 x 1750mAh Battery
It’s common for “noname”-phones to have a high battery drain compared to big brand phones, so you can’t just look on the battery capacity.
can you please enlighten us which Chinese phone(current model) has decent battery life at decent price? Thanks!
it depends the battery capacity of the smartphone, it is hard to say
Huawei Honor 3C is a smart choice from the battery compared with others. HOT!

Huawei Honor 3c has a steel chassis? 😀
The iNew v3 would be the phone to go for, if it only didn’t have this crappy battery. Have to wait for the Huawei Honor 3c to be reviewed. Haven’t seen a single review of the 3c on the net so far.

What other phones with the same spec of iNew V3, but with 2GB RAm and better battery, do you recomend to buy? Yes, with NFC as well.
I’m willing to spend $ 300 max, but I really don’t know what’s better. Too many options, so I’m kinda lost.

A pity none of these have 2gig of ram.
What 2gig ram but low cost phone with a 5″ screen (or larger!) is recommended?
Huawei G700, Huawei Honor 3C WCDMA, Huawei Honor 3X. If you only need single-SIM there is ZTE V975.
