Lenovo have a love affair with the quad-core MT6582 processor at the moment. The Lenovo S660 is the 3rd phone from the manufacturer to get the chip at MWC this week.

The Lenovo S660 sits below the stylist S850 and large battery S860 in the Lenovo range and costs less at only $229. For that you get a 4.7-inch 960 x 540 resolution display, 1.3Ghz quad-core MT6582 chipset, 1GB RAM and 16GB memory.

Gizchina News of the week

Compared to smartphones from local Chinese manufacturers the Lenovo S660 isn’t quite the bargain phone Lenovo would hope we would believe (just $10 more would get you an octacore GooPhone N3 with 2GB RAM and a 1080p display), but for a phone which will be widely available in Europe, South America and Africa it is about on par with similar phones.

The highlight of the Lenovo S660 is undoubtedly the brushed alloy finish which gives this mid-range phone a premium look and feel.

More from MWC soon!
