SanDisk launches 128GB microSD card

SanDisk just upped the ante with the launch of their seriously high capacity 128GB microSD card!

Low on-board storage has been plaguing smartphone users (especially budget devices) for as long as I can remember. The 128GB microSDXC tries to alleviate exactly that for you, but at a price. The class 10 128GB microSD go for about $200 apiece, which of course is expected to come down through the year.

Gizchina News of the week

SanDisk claim that their 128GB microSDXC can do speeds twice as fast as a regular microSD, which according to them translates to 10MBps (Megabytes per second).

With large-screen smartphones trending as much as they are, having one of these could be very handy. Movies, music and whatnot, all on-the-go. The price however, as previously mentioned, is a little steep for a microSD for now. The SanDisk 128GB microSDXC will be available exclusively at Amazon.com and BestBuy.com e-commerce portals.
