Unboxing and first hands on with the iOcean G7 octacore pahblet! The largest iOceandevice to date!
iOcean have a trio of octacoredevice in store for phone fans for the start of 2014. There is the updated iOcean X7S (unboxing coming soon), much anticipated iOcean X8, and this the largest of them all the iOcean G7.
At 6.44-inch the iOcean G7 is a large device and dwarfs pretty much any other smartphone currently on the market today, but is not along in it’s monstrous size as it will compete with rival phablets the UMi Cross and iNew i6000+.
Specifications for the iOcean G7 are what we have come to expect for early 2014. The display is a FHD 1920 x 1080 unit, a 13 mega-pixel main camera with F2.0 aperture, 1.7Ghz octacore processor, 2GB RAM and a large 3500mAh battery.
Gizchina News of the week
The iOcean doesn’t come with NFC which is a surprise considering most other phones do, but in reality we have never actually used NFC enough for this to be a deal breaker.

iOcean G7 first impressions
The iOcean G7 is a very large device with a huge amount of screen real estate. Phablets measuring 6.44-inch and above are gaining popularity, but they still remain a niche item. For those of you looking at an octacore phablet though the G7 does look the business.
It has a well made body and on paper the specification is a sound one. We will keep you posted as we work on the iOcean G7 review with any updates which you might be interested in, in the meantime here are some more photos of the new iOcean phablet.

No reviews on this phone so far on the net, so no sample photos. For me the ideal phone is a phablet with decent camera. So, Andi, please, give us some examples of its photoability, not only macro but scenery and in low light. Thanks in advance.
