Starting in just a few hours, at noon Singapore time on March 7th, Xiaomi will begin selling its flagship Mi3 phone to Singapore customers.
The move doesn’t come as much of a surprise, the Singaporean market has been very favorable to Xiaomi in the past, with its budget priced Redmi selling out at an unbelievable pace.
Xiaomi has also been moving into other Asian markets as its looks to expand out of China. While the company still hasn’t made the move to Western markets, it is clear that Xiaomi has some high ambitions. It just isn’t rushing them.
Gizchina News of the week
The Mi3 will sell in Singapore for 419 SGD (332 USD, 240 EUR). Considering the Redmi’s success, it is possible that we will be seeing another quick sell out.
In case you need a refresher, the Mi3 was first released in December of last year, it features a 2.3 Ghz quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM and a 5 inch 1080×1920 screen.
Xiaomi has been killing it in sales and with the critics lately, but it was noticeably absent from the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona a few weeks back, leaving those waiting for an announcement of a new phone or tablet waiting.
We will keep you up to date on everything Xiaomi.
