Video: Pete Lau interviewed, speaks about the OnePlus One and OnePlus in general

OnePlus is what is going on in many a smartphone fan’s mind of late. Only recently, the company announced that their yet to be released OnePlus One will feature a 3100mAh battery along with a quad-core Snapdragon 800 that was announced earlier.

OnePlus is pursuing a rather unique way of marketing to say the least. After a long period of teasers, the company finally started spilling the beans on their first ever smartphone this month. Not only that, even an ‘Ask Us’ session was held on Reddit for the curious fans to quench their thirst. However, there still remain a few questions unanswered (besides the specs of course) that have to do with the overall ideology of the company.

In the video, Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus can be seen speaking about their OnePlus venture which is in its infancy right now.

Lau is a known serial entrepreneur known best for his tenure as the OPPO chief. With the OnePlus One, the company is targeting a whole new niché of ‘advanced’ Android users who care more about the overall user experience rather than just the specs sheet of a device.

We must say that the idea itself promises a lot. However, how well it delivers remains to be seen.
