Octacore tablets are few and far between, leading us to believe that the new Pipo T9 is the world’s first octacore MT6592 tablet.
We don’t report on many Chinese tablets here on GizChina, basically because they are all very much similar from one device to the next, however now and again we do come across something rather special.
The Pipo T9 is one of those special tablets which we just could not ignore. Packing an 8.9-inch 1920 x 1200 display, 13 mega-pixel main camera (with LED flash), 5 mega-pixel front all in an alloy body, the hardware is impressive to say the least, but it is the processor which is really interesting.
Gizchina News of the week
Rather than going for one of Mediatek’s tablet specific processors, Pipo have strapped a 2.0Ghz octcore MT6592 chipset in the T9 which is going to mean bags of power, WIFI, 3G and GPS! Pricing and launch date haven’t been announced.

sounds really good, typical I bought the Onda V975m a few weeks back with it’s dodgy firmware and throttled CPU.
Ey man me too i had purchase this model and i only can say that the 1.0.8 version of their official firmware is super fluid and also if you change the custom launcher (as Go Launcher for example) and also the update to Android 4.4 is arround the corner (with a stable BETA tester in v2.0).
I only can say that the benchmark with this improuvements, that will allow to have the “REAL” 2Ghz speed cpu core, will “pobably” make this tablet model the powerfulest tablet in the market till now!
yes, I installed firmware 4.4.2 beta 2, rooted it and set cpu up to its max of 1.992Ghz and it’s definitely faster and it now benchmarks at 23000 on antutu x. Will never hit the 30k they advertise as the cpu isn’t powerful enough.
lol? i have already seen 31500 in mine with the 1.01 firmware… and i have seen also 35000+ with optimization in the 2nd beta of KK 😉
Don’t know how your getting that as I’ve used both versions of Antutu and am getting 21000-23000, never had 30000+ and I’ve used 1.0.3, 1,0.5, 1.0.7 and 4.2.2 (beta 1 and 2).
What version is yours? v1, v2 or v3? you can see it in the bottom of the rear 😉
And u can see that is true here in the Spanish forum: http://hispatablets.com/news/forum/tablets-onda/
and also here: https://www.gizchina.com/wp-content/uploads/images/onda-v975m-antutu.jpg
iProTablet is one site that now has the Pipo T9 model in stock and on sale
