Lenovo A850+ is one among the first, most affordable MT6592M octa-core smartphones!

As the name suggests, the device is an upgrade to last year’s [easyazon_link asin=”B00F2DQV94″ locale=”US” new_window=”default” nofollow=”default” tag=”gizchicom-20″ add_to_cart=”default” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” popups=”default”]A850[/easyazon_link] phablet which features the MediaTek MT6582M quad-core chipset. Much like its predecessor, the A850+ comes with a knocked-down version of a trending chipset, the MT6592M in this case which is a slower, cheaper alternative to the regular octa-core MT6592. The MT6592M comes with the same number of cores, but operates a slower frequency of 1.4GHz. However, the GPU remains to be the same Mali-450MP4 as on the regular version of the chipset.

Other than the aforementioned CPU, the Lenovo A850+ comes with more or less the same specifications as its predecessor, in a 5.5-inch qHD screen, 1GB RAM, 4GB ROM, a 5 mega-pixel rear camera, 3 mega-pixel front camera. What’s good to know is that not only has the device slimmed down to 8.9mm from 9.4mm, but also packs a higher capacity battery, which now stands at 2500mAh as opposed to 2250mAh on the previous version.
