The Oppo Find 7 launch is this week, and we just cannot wait to see what the next flagship Oppo phone will be like. Let’s take a look at everything we know about the Oppo Find 7 so far.
Oppo Find 7 Packaging
Let’s start with the packaging. From leaked photos we can see the Oppo Find 7 packaging is very similar to the Oppo N1’s. The colour is black instead of white, and the Find 7 will come with ear buds included.
Oppo Find 7 display
Oppo will offer 2 screen resolutions for the Oppo Find 7. An entry-level version with a 1920 x 1080 display, and a range topper with 2560 x 1440 2K display. Interestingly most of the leaks we have are for the 1080 model, and it appears 2K version will go on sale after the FHD version.
Both phones will have a 5.5-inch displays with Corning Gorilla Glass, and both will be ultra-sensitive, i.e. you can use them with gloves, or wet hands.
Oppo Find 7 Design
It is possible that the 1080 and 2K versions of the Oppo Find 7 will vary slightly in design. Our source, who has hands on time with the Find 7, confirms that these leaked photos are accurate. So the FHD model of the Find 7 is going to be offered with a black face, regular sized bezels, and large chin for navigation buttons.
The white rear (possibly also available in black) has a rear camera, dual LED flash and speaker grill.
The sides have the physical controls, a 3.5mm headphone jack is on the top, and the rear panel can be removed to access the removable battery and SD memory card slot.
From leaked renders the 2K version also appears to get a very interesting LED notification light which seeps across the bottom edge of the phone.
Oppo Find 7 Hardware
Specification details have varied slightly from official teasers to the network licences of the phones, but the details seems to be as follows.
Gizchina News of the week
The 1920 x 1080 Oppo Find 7 will have a Snapdragon 800 processor, 1920 x 1080 display, 5 mega-pixel front camera, 2GB RAM, and 16GB memory. The 2K model will have a 2560 x 1440 QHD display, possibly 3GB RAM.
Both phones will have removable battery’s, but we don’t know the size, and both will have room for 128GB SD cards. 4G LTE is also supported on the phones, which most major carriers getting support, in China and around the globe.
Oppo Find 7 Camera
Oppo have revealed that the entry-level Find 7 will have a 5 mega-pixel front camera, but the rear camera details are being kept a secret. Leaked renders of the phone stated a 13 mega-pixel camera, and our source who has tried the phone also says it is a 13MP shooter, but sample photos tell another story.
Photo samples from the Oppo Find 7 tell us the phone has a 50 mega-pixel camera. We believe Oppo have managed to build in a “multi-shot” feature which allows the camera sensor to move and collect more information thus increasing resolution.
Whatever Oppo has in store for the rear camera it looks like we are going to have to wait until the launch to find out what it is.
Oppo Find 7 Price
The Find 7 won’t be a cheap phone! Chinese stores have already listed the 1080 version of the phone at a whopping 3500 Yuan ($570). We hope that this is a mistake and that the 2K model will by priced at 3500 Yuan with the 1080 model coming in at around 3000 Yuan.
Oppo Find 7 Release Date
The Find 7 will go on sale from the 20th March, the day after the launch. The 1080 version of the phone will go on sale first with the 2K coming at a later, unspecified time. Oppo will more than likely offer the phone through their website, and also through physical stores across China. We also hope to see the international release date at around the same time.
