Wiko’s Wax, reportedly the world’s first ever NVIDIA Tegra 4i powered smartphone just got a €200 price tag for European markets!
The Tegra 4i SoC was initially unveiled at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year. It comes with a quad-core CPU with the Cortex A9 cores clocked at 1.7GHz plus a 5th core to save battery, along with a 60-core GPU (the Tegra 4 has a 72-core one). What’s good here is that the chipset features an on-board LTE modem, something we’ve been witnessing often of late.
Gizchina News of the week
Complete specifications of the Wiko Wax include a 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, 4GB on-board storage with microSD expansion, an 8 mega-pixel rear camera, 5 mega-pixel front camera, and of course the aforementioned Tegra 4i SoC.
It is quite imminent that the device is aimed at those seeking a pocket (and budget) friendly smartphone. At €200, the device might not be the most efficient, but it does seem like it will offer a good value for your money.
Availability confirmation, at the moment, is restricted to Italy, but neighbours in Germany and France too should be able to avail the device in the near future.
