One of Motorola’s most successful phones of late, the Motorola Moto G might just get a more robust sibling in the near future.
@evleaks suggests Motorola is prepping the launch of this rugged smartphone, the Moto G Forte in the coming weeks. No word on certification yet, but IP67 is what seems to be trending in the smartphone market, as you’d be aware. @evleaks also claims the device will be launched only in Latin American markets in the first leg, with other markets to follow.
Gizchina News of the week
Specifications are expected to remain the same, with the device said to carry a 4.5-inch 720p screen, a quad-core Snapdragon CPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB/16GB of on-board storage, 5 mega-pixel rear camera, 1.3 mega-pixel front camera complete with a 2050mAh battery. No word on pricing as yet, you can expect the device to cost 10-15% extra over the usual pricing in your country, if it does get launched.
Too bad they didnt go with MT6582 for dual-sim support… Would have been a nice budget phone!
Until MediaTek learns to play nice with open source, the fewer devices that use them, the better.
They can’t really care about opensource, but everyone wants an updated Android, even when they don’t know anything about code.
Nope… “everyone” (=the fast majority of customers) cares sh*t about their Android version, they just want a running phone
It is only some “geeks” or “update junkies” who care
Check out the current Android version distribution… far over 50% are still on 4.1 and 4.0
4.4 is below 5% (even 2.x has more)
But not for Europe, right?
Is that a statement or question ? If there is, I want to know where I can purchase dual sim version.
