Neo are working on their own quad-core MT6582 mid-range Android smartphone which could possibly be named the Ne0 M1 with, Gorilla glass display, dual Sony cameras and slim design.
Neo’s last big phone was the quad-core Neo N003 which was good device but launched far to late in the day when compared to phones from JiaYu, UMi and others. Neo are still behind the pack for a 2014 phone, but the new device might be worth the wait.
According to our sources at Neo the M1 (this name might change) is manufactured from all high quality parts. Both cameras are from Sony, the display is supplied from a company in South Korean and the main PCB comes from the same factory as the Xiaomi Redmi’s!.
Gizchina News of the week
The Neo Leo Poppy is a quad-coreMT6582 Android device similar to the Huawei Honor 3C, Zopo ZP700, and iOcean X7 HD, with a design inspired by the slim Huawei Ascend P6. From the render we can see the body is narrow and compact with small bezels. It appears that the battery will be built-in to the phone as the sides have SIM and SD card trays.
Specifications include a 1.3Ghz processor, 1GB RAM, 5-inch IPS 1280 x 720 display, 8 mega-pixel rear Sony camera, 5 mega-pixel front, 2000mAh battery and all packed in to a brightly coloured 5.9mm body.
A launch date and price hasn’t been confirmed yet, but let’s hope we aren’t waiting all that long for this sexy little phone to go on sale.
