Upcoming successor to the massively popular Ascend P6 from last year, the Huawei Ascend P7 just got glimpsed in the wild.
The leaked picture, emerging from China’s alternative to Twitter (i.e., weibo), depicts a device that is supposedly a testing unit for Huawei before the actual thing is released. Thanks to the picture not being the clearest (see above), not a lot can be confirmed at the moment. However, what we see seems to be in agreement with previous leaks.
Gizchina News of the week
The previous leaks we talk about suggest a 5-inch 1920 x 1080p screen, a 1.6GHz quad-core in-house HiSilicon series processor from the maker, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage. It’s also believed that the device will pack a rather pedestrian (by today’s standards) 13 mega-pixel rear + 8 mega-pixel front camera combo, along with a 2460mAh battery and support for 4G LTE connectivity.
Of course, the Ascend P7 perhaps won’t be the ultimate Huawei flagship for 2014, but quite honestly the specifications aren’t the most inspiring. However, one can expect Huawei to pull of something like it did with the Ascend P6 last year (it had a body only 6.18mm thick).
What do you think of the design? Could Huawei have given the device a better makeover from what we see here?
